FIER has had volunteers from eight countries including:
Our volunteers are often time college students (hence our quarterly schedule designed to accommodate the heavier mid-term/final section of college semesters) or full-time employees at other companies.
We've had volunteers with backgrounds in related and unrelated fields; however, we don't discriminate against volunteers based on their profession or major.
Here at FIER, we believe that volunteers' various specialties make us a more inclusive and well-rounded organization that can better serve our community.
Some volunteers are led to connect with us due to their personal experiences with racial trauma.
For example, we've had relatives of victims of hate crimes [like the Atlanta Spa Shooting] apply to volunteer for us.
Others simply have a passion to learn and educate others about racial literacy--we welcome everyone from every walk of life.
