“Approximately 63 million Americans - 25% of the adult population - volunteer their time, talents, and energy to making a difference.” 

Volunteering with FIER offers you the opportunity to contribute to your community, strengthen your resume, expand your network, and build your confidence! More importantly, volunteer work can not only positively impact the lives of families that we help, but can also help volunteers connect with their sense of purpose. 

We operate on a quarterly cycle broken down into two categories:

Quarter One [January to March] & Quarter Three [July to September] are research intensive. This requires more data analysis, current event research and scholarly/medical article collection. These quarters are also more heavily reliant on remote work. 

Quarter Two [April to June] & Quarter Four [October to December] are community outreach-based events. For these events, we require more  volunteers for fundraising, marketing, artistic knowledge, event management etc. These quarters also require an in-person team for each event location. 

While some volunteer opportunities tend to span for several months to even a year-- FIER implements micro volunteering opportunities for individuals who would like to contribute per event or for a 3-month span. Also bear in mind, you can volunteer your time, your services, a product--the sky is the limit!
